Stop Being Stressed And Know You Are Blessed

It is becoming normal to be stressed, overwhelmed and exhausted. If you donโ€™t respond with that, when someone asks you how you are doing, they might look at you weird. Because I don’t feel this way, people either think I’m lying, or I’m using some type of magic. You guys, I have worked hard to get to this point. It did not just happen overnight.

I researched techniques used in ancient times that are still around today, and have been proven by science to work. Yet the majority of people don’t know about these skills. I have worked with coaches who taught me basic concepts, backed up by medical studies, to help live a less stressed life. Yet, many think these concepts won’t work. Many doctors have taught me how to help ease the overwhelm and exhaustion that comes with life. Yet, many won’t put the effort needed to make it happen.

There is no magic. But boy did I have the desire and the absolute need to make necessary changes. I could not keep going and be the mom I needed to be for my kids, if I stayed so stressed out and exhausted. I know you know what I am talking about.

Many of you know my familyโ€™s medical history. Many know the current struggles we deal with every single day. If it weren’t for the skills and techniques that I practice continuously, I would be an absolute mess, hiding in bed, under the covers, not wanting to face reality. But that was not how I wanted to live my life. And that is not what I wanted my kids to see.

Next time you are so stressed out. Please just take a minute and look at your situation from a different viewpoint. Here is what I am talking about.

1. Are there dishes all over and your kitchen is a mess? How awesome that you were able to cook and feed your family and use dishes in a working kitchen. Lots to be thankful for there.

2. What about seeing your kids fight and argue once again about picking up their toys? How amazing that you were fortunate enough to have children, and even more so, 2 children. And cool that they have toys that need to even be picked up, in a house that is keeping them warm this winter. Again, lots to be thankful for.

3. Does your dirty laundry pile never seem to disappear no matter how many loads you do? Yay, for all those beautiful clothes your family has, along with a washing machine to clean them all, and a dryer to dry them all. And the money to run those machines. Once again, lots to be thankful for.

Do you see how looking at your stress from a different perspective can change everything? This works you guys. But it also takes effort and consistency. I absolutely love the quote โ€œStop focusing on being stressed, and start focusing on being blessed!โ€ Itโ€™s true. So today, when you are getting overwhelmed and stressed, first stop, close your eyes and take 3 deep breaths. Then rework the situation in front of you and come up with all of the things in the midst of craziness that you actually are blessed with and should be grateful for. You got this!
